Abstract

In women, the most frequent metastatic tumor is breast carcinoma, which can present with proptosis, displacement of the eyeball, alteration in ocular movements, ptosis, diplopia, pain, and low visual acuity. We present the case of a 55-year-old female patient with progressive proptosis in the left eye after one year of evolution, associated with decreased visual acuity and pain, which turned out to be a metastasis as the first clinical finding of breast carcinoma.
