Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the intraocular lens’s (IOLs) visual and refractive outcomes, combining extended depth of focus (EDOF) and multifocal profile in cataract surgery. Patients and Methods: A prospective, non-randomized, non-comparative, single-center, case series study of patients who underwent cataract surgery with TECNIS Synergy IOL implantation from August 2021 to July 2023 was performed. Results are reported three months after surgery. Results: A total of 186 eyes of 93 patients were performed. The percentage of eyes that had a cumulative uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) of ≥20/30 for distance, intermediate, and near was 100% (186 eyes), 82.7% (154 eyes), and 100% (186 eyes), respectively. Conclusion: The TECNIS Synergy IOL provided excellent levels of distance, intermediate and near vision, increased visual range, and spectacle independence.
