Abstract

El objetivo de esta técnica es describir el manejo quirúrgico de la luxación de lente intraocular a cavidad vítrea, así como la técnica de fijación escleral AB para suturar un lente intraocular de cámara posterior (LIOCP) al surco ciliar con sutura de monofilamento de politetrafluoroetileno (PTFE) CV8 (Gore-Tex), utilizando túneles esclerales y nudo cow hitch. Existen importantes ventajas que nos proporciona el uso de túneles esclerales así como el uso de sutura Gore-Tex en estos pacientes, relacionados con comorbilidades y resultados a largo plazo, así mismo se propone el uso del nudo cow hitch que previene deslizamientos, aporta mayor rigidez y nos provee dos puntos de fijación en aquellos lentes con un ojal en la háptica.
