Abstract

The objective of this technique is to describe the surgical management of intraocular lens dislocation to the vitreous cavity, as well as the AB scleral fixation technique to suture a posterior chamber intraocular lens (PCIOL) to the ciliary groove with polytetrafluoroethylene monofilament suture (PTFE) CV8 (Gore-Tex), using scleral tunnels and cow hitch knot. There are important advantages that the use of scleral tunnels provides us as well as the use of Gore-Tex suture in these patients, related to comorbidities and long-term results, the use of the cow hitch knot is recommended as it prevents slipping, provides greater rigidity and it provides us with two fixing points in those lenses with an eyelet in the haptic.
